Within surreal dream-like illusions, this work questions contrasting concepts.  Stitches being tied tight or unraveling, perfection versus organic/handmade, release versus contract, masculine/feminine. Tension, or the illusion of tension, is the hero of this piece.  The most fragile of materials, black thread works to create fluidity between the contrasts.
