50 Ways to Leave Your Lover is composed of fifty 4” mirrors with images of myself, the artist, as a femme fatale, seductress, slut, and lover. Playing off of the cinematic portrayal of women in porn, the images are printed on transparent acetate and integrated into the mirror with resin. I am in various positions: looking at you right in the eye, with my back facing you, or even almost sleeping. The mirrors are hung in a grid and placed in a gradient from dark and mysterious to light and practically invisible. In each piece, you see me and you see yourself simultaneously, but in the final mirror at the bottom right, you only see yourself.
