All Around, 2019

Acrylic, photographic transparency, led light

All Around is comprised of a light box made of clear acrylic with an internal led remote light. Displayed on a clear acrylic plinth, it consists of a double layer of images on each of the six sides. The first layer underneath is a nude woman in red lace underwear. The second, top layer is made up of photographs of brilliant colored flowers. Seducing the viewer like a butterfly to a flower, as you move closer, you can more clearly the woman in underwear. The shiny, reflective material and flower images are purposefully deceptive. As the viewer is encouraged to walk around the piece, the multi-faceted sides recall seduction, sexuality and the confinements of an out of control body.
