Breathe, 2017
Sheets, fan, wood
Breathe is an installation which took place in a small contained room. When you first enter the room, the bedsheet simply hangs and appears to be part of the architecture. Then, a cycle of air begins, the sheet fills with air, and the piece inflates until it takes up the entire room. Forcing the viewer to remain outside, the sheets exhales slowly deflating, bringing the form back to where it started. This cycle repeats over and over.
