Up and Up is a sculptural wall light that  captures a moment during the early years of parenting, anchoring the memory which is both floating away and being pulled due to gravity and time expands.  The moment was spent lying in a courtyard on a soft blanket, watching trees sway and the clouds pass while holding a young child. This recollection of stillness amid a life of going and crazy chaos.  By integrating light, texture, and text, Up and Up becomes an experiential meditation on memory, parenthood, and the passage of time, capturing the tension between calm and the constant pull to keep moving forward.
